Megan Igel, PA-C, MPAS
“There isn't one right way to practice geriatric medicine; rather, it's what's right for each individual person and their family members on any given day. I like to empower my patients to guide their own medical ca”
Megan Igel sees her role of physician assistant as an opportunity to impact people's lives, medically as well as personally—to really make a difference on their behalf. She has worked in geriatrics with Senior Care of Colorado since 2001 and enjoys caring for patients in a variety of settings: the office, rehabilitation, nursing homes, and even hospice.
Megan holds a bachelor's degree in sociology and human services and has previously served as a social worker for pregnant teens. She earned her master's in physician assistant studies from the Oregon Health Sciences University.
Megan likes to laugh and have fun; to fully live life. Her husband is a lieutenant with the Aurora Fire Department and they have two young daughters, Hazel and Ruby. Jethro the Golden Retriever is also an important member of their family. Megan, an avid gardener, is on a mission to best the 65-pound great pumpkin she grew one year.
Megan practices at our Aurora Clinic.
