Ashley Mines, PA-C, MMS
"You can't simply practice one-size-fits-all medicine. I strive to recognize each patient as an individual and tailor their care accordingly. What's appropriate and helpful for one person may not be right for someone else."
Ashley Mines' approach to medical care employs sound judgment and sensitivity coupled with a cheerful, approachable demeanor. "Trust is the foundation for a good provider/patient relationship," she says. "The patient has to feel comfortable enough to tell you anything. And when you really stop to listen, you get critical information about their history and condition that might otherwise be missed. So much of what we do in geriatrics is about visiting with people socially, educating them and making sure their needs are being met."
Ashley earned her BS, summa cum laude, at Mesa State College in Grand Junction, CO, and her MMS at Midwestern University in Glendale, AZ. She has practiced as a physician assistant since 2008.
Ashley and her husband, who have known one another since high school, have one very little son named Steve. They love spending time in the kitchen together concocting exotic ethnic food dishes.
