Shannon Lee, PA-C, MPAS, MS

“It’s important for me to really listen, to take the time and get to know patients. I want to be the logical and compassionate voice guiding patients and their families toward the best decisions for themselves and their quality of life.”

With a strong background in science research, Shannon Lee began practicing as a physician assistant in 2009. While she knows that ongoing learning will always be an important part of her practice, Shannon enjoys using her knowledge to help others on a daily basis.

Shannon’s grandmother, who went to college and received a PhD in the 1930s, inspired her as a role model and instilled in her the value of education. Spending time with her grandmother as she aged, Shannon came to understand how empathizing with elders leads to greater connection and care.

A Colorado native, Shannon received both her BS and MS from Colorado State University, and she attained her Master of Physician Assistant Studies at University of Colorado Denver. She worked at Mayo Clinic as a PA focusing on inpatient urologic care before returning to her Colorado roots in 2011.

Shannon’s principles inspire her to serve others, and when she’s not working closely with patients, she enjoys spending time with her son, gardening, and exploring the outdoors either on local hiking trails or through the lens of a SCUBA mask.
