Anthony Leo, MD
"It is important for me to listen closely to my patients and offer a hand of support. I love the moments when I can connect with others and come to understand their personal stories. That type of relationship grows out of trust and extends beyond clinical needs alone."
Dr. Anthony Leo first decided to pursue internal medicine out of a passion for maintaining a broad knowledge base and a desire to solve complex medical problems. While these things remain important to him, his career objectives have evolved over time to reflect his long-term thought processes and his interest in taking an increasingly patient-centered approach. Dr. Leo’s experience is rooted in hospital care, but he’s a promoter of patient safety across all care settings, and he sees himself as an advisor, advocate, and guide.
Although he’s not a Colorado native, Dr. Leo says he feels like one, having lived in the Denver area since 1971. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Colorado in Boulder and his MD from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center. Dr. Leo is board certified in internal medicine and has been practicing medicine since 2002.
Dr. Leo enjoys spending time with his family and he loves to explore Colorado’s mountain environment. He also likes writing creative stories and poems.
