Karina Gebhart, MMS, PA-C
"I truly enjoy spending time with my patients, addressing their questions and helping them understand what's going on. I feel really lucky to be doing this work."
During two rotations with Senior Care during her physician assistant residency, Karina Gebhart felt a "strange draw" to geriatric medicine and senior patients. She fell in love with the people, the experiences--everything about it. The first in her family to attend college, she put herself through school knowing that, as a physician assistant, she would be able to achieve a good balance between career and family life.
The IPC/Senior Care team, Karina says, is comprised of caring, dedicated people with the ability to really listen to their patients-practitioners who know to help patients manage their conditions to maximize their quality of life.
Karina graduated from the University of Colorado at Denver with a major in biology and minor in chemistry. She obtained her PA certification from the RRCC Physician Assistant Program in Lakewood, and her MMS in physician assistant studies from St. Frances University in Loretta, PA, in 2007. She has two young daughters and enjoys spending time outdoors in her native Colorado gardening, hiking, bicycling, and "running after" her kids.
Karina practices at our Porter Clinic.
